1. My name is Grace Wang, and I'm a junior studying Comm Des + Business Strategy
2. I'm taking this class to fulfill a requirement for an HCI minor.
3. I took visual principles and learned the basics of CSS/HTML. It's been 2 semesters though; so I'd need a refresh.
4. I hope to learn how to code for various screen sizes and understand better how to code for lines to move and not move etc.
5. The screen is more interactive so there's various ways to use design to engage and change for the view rather than a static design on paper.
6. A website with effective design: https://hackfirst.io/
I think it has effective design because of the effective use of futuristic and glitchy design themes for a digital security company.
7. A website with effective communication: https://dandelioncoffee.co.uk/
I think this one is effective because of the screen layout having everything scaled down and therefore easy to read all at once. I usually hate going to restaruant sites because of how annoying they are to navigate. However, I really love the simplicity of this website.
8. A website that I think works well would be skims.com I think the brand cohesiveness is definitely carried on its website. The whole layour is very editorial with nude colors and sharp minimalist designs. It emulates the luxury and vibe of the source content very well.
